Standard Dimensions
Sizes are described as length x
width and are traditionally quoted
in feet. Our standard size trailers,
with internal metric dimensions, are
as follows:
6'x4' (1760mm x 1200mm)
7'x4' (2060mm x1200mm)
7'x5' (2060mm x1500mm), and
8'x5' (2400mm x 1500mm)
Other sizes
available upon request.
Light Duty, Medium and Heavy Duty builds
are available for box trailers, as well as optional
higher sides (21").
For custom trailers you
will need to nominate the length x width
x height expressed in either metres,
millimetres, inches or feet.

Maximum
Weights
A trailer without brakes is limited
to 750 KG GVM. GVM is Gross Vehicle
Mass which means the combined mass
of both the load and trailer.
Trailers with a tare weight of up to
254kg (ie before a load is
added) are not required to be
inspected for registration renewals.
Anything heavier is required to get
a pink slip from an authorized
inspection station.
The NSW Roads &
Traffic Authority also charge a Motor
Vehicle Tax of at least $94 for tare
weights over 254kg. Please check out RTA
website or contact us for further
information.
For
custom trailers you need to estimate the maximum load
weight so we can determine the
appropriate suspension, chassis and
braking system required.
Accuracy here is critical, as repairs to
a damaged trailer due to overload can
often exceed the cost of
appropriate strengthening at the
manufacturing stage.
For enclosed trailers, you need to
specify where your entry points are to
be located as well as the style, eg.
lift up door, drop ramp, side swing door
etc
Registration
Registration is available on-site to all
NSW licence holders. As RTA ANVIS (Authorised
New Vehicle Inspection Scheme)
dealers we are able to
take care of all areas of the
registration process in
around 10 minutes. No need
for you to go to the RTA.
For private use a current NSW Drivers
Licence is required.
For business use we require an RTA
Customer Number issued with a purchase
order on a business letter-head showing
all business details. Also required is
evidence of incorporation - eg a
Certificate of Incorporation showing ACN
number.
Registration fees vary depending on
the type of use for the trailer, as well
as the weight and carrying capacity.
Initial registration costs which
includes stamp duty, plate fee and
dealer fee, start from $120 Private use,
followed by a $55 renewal fee.
These prices are subject to change
without notice.
Depending on the weight of your trailer,
a pink slip may be required for renewal
purposes.
No annual inspections are required for
registration renewals of our standard
single axle, un-braked box trailers.
The sizes are 6x4 13" & 21", 7x4 13" &
21" 7x5 13" and 8x5 13" .
